For several years Rob facilitated the slow jams at Steve Kaufman’s Acoustic Music Kamp in Tennessee. He has a huge repertoire of singable bluegrass and country songs. Bring your favorite songs. Rob will happily call out the chords! He’ll pace this bluegrass jam according to the abilities and wishes of the participants.

Dusty Strings Jam Leader, Sarah Comer is proud to serve as a link in the chain connecting masters of the tradition with the next generation of old-time fiddlers. Since starting her journey with the fiddle in 1999, Sarah has entertained audiences from Northwest Folklife Festival to Benaroya Hall, and taught for the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association, Pierce College, and Dusty Strings Music School. For those new to the old-time jam scene the first half hour will be common tunes like "Soldier's Joy" and "Old Joe Clark", played at an easy-going tempo, then we'll pick up the pace with a variety of Northwest fiddle tunes and turn it over to the participants to start a few tunes of their own. Bring your fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bass, (or other acoustic instrument) and come enjoy making music with others!
